Not only does CK offer you your score for FREE, they also supply you with your FREE credit history all year long (get rid of once a year). On top of all the awesomeness, they fully explain what your credit history and report mean. Already loving Credit Karma like I am?
If you’ve been following me for awhile you know I was a preschool teacher for upwards of 10 years. Yes, that’s young Tiff. Five years following this picture was taken, I lost my job throughout the height with the Recession, because my school lost its funding. At age 24 my credit rating was an 802 (basically a solid A). After losing my job, I couldn’t afford to give the mortgage with the home I bought at 25 and my 802 credit history fell to your 547 (basically a D / D-).
I didn’t be aware my score am bad until I checked Credit Karma. At first I was devastated, then I started reading the CK site and learned a little more about how credit was calculated. I used this data to bring my score from your 547 with a 750 every year and a half. Not bad considering the home was foreclosed upon and also a foreclosure has become a F on a credit history.
