I use online for free credit monitoring services Credit Karma and Credit Sesame (discover more here). Let’s focus on Credit Karma. According to their site, my “credit worthiness” is 756 according to TransUnion Credit Score data. The reason I use “credit standing” in quotes happens because it is a FAKO score, not much of a FICO score. Moving on to Credit Sesame. Their website reports a 794 “credit worthiness” at the time of March 2, determined by information from my Experian credit history. As you can see, we have a big gap between Credit Karma’s 756 and Credit Sesame’s 794. But wait, you say.
That credit history is from March 2, whilst the Credit Karma score is produced by March 28. Good catch. Between March 2 and April 2, I did an immense 5 card App-O-Rama (link) and Credit Sesame demonstrates my “credit history” dropped 18 points. My new Discover It Credit Card that I got around my March App-O-Rama also provides my free credit worthiness. According to Discover’s FICO Score my credit standing is 745, determined by data from TransUnion’s credit history. Since Credit Karma uses TransUnion also, this can be a great way to compare scores.
TransUnion says my “credit standing” is 756, while Discover says my FICO score is 745. FICO is usually preferred over another “credit standing” because FICO is considered the most accurate number. One of the perks of needing the US Bank Club Carlson Credit Card is you get free entry to your Experian Credit Score monthly. The only problem is the fact I think my account is broken. It has showed a 734 going back 3-4 months and also have not “updated” since February 22. I wish this tool works, but at the time of now, it isn't reliable.
